After activating the “HT Easy Ga4”<\/strong> plugin, you will get a new menu called \u201cHT Easy Ga4\u201d<\/strong>. Click on this menu to the settings page and configure the plugin settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Authentication with Google<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Click the “Sign in with your Google Analytics account”<\/strong> button to connect the plugin with your Google account. A new window will open, prompting you to log in and grant access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • If you're already logged in, simply select your preferred Google Analytics account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • This connection enables the plugin to fetch available GA4 properties and provide access to reporting features within WordPress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    2. GA4 Measurement \/ Tracking ID<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Enter your GA4 Measurement ID<\/strong> (e.g., G-XXXXXXXXXX<\/code>) in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • This step automatically adds the GA4 tracking script to your website\u2019s <head><\/code> section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • While you can add the ID manually, it is recommended to first authenticate with Google. This ensures:\n

      • Seamless ID selection from your account<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Enhanced access to plugin-integrated reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        3. Exclude Tracking For<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        This dropdown allows you to exclude specific WordPress user roles<\/strong> from being tracked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • For example, selecting \u201cAdministrator\u201d or \u201cShop Manager\u201d ensures their visits and actions are not recorded in GA4.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Helps keep analytics data clean by omitting internal traffic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            2. Click on this button to sign in with Google.<\/strong> This will open a new window where you can sign in to your Google account using your username and password. If you are already logged in, you will be able to select the account that you are currently using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Grant our plugin secure read-only access to your Google Analytics account so we can turn raw data into easy-to-understand visualizations and actionable recommendations that help you make better decisions to increase your website traffic, leads, and revenue<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Step 1<\/strong>: Log in with Google or Manually Set Measurement ID
            Step 2<\/strong>: Authorize Access to Our Plugin
            Step 3<\/strong>: Choose your Property and Configure Events<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              After signing in, your connected email address will appear alongside a \u201cLogout\u201d<\/strong> button.
              This confirms the plugin is successfully authenticated with your Google Analytics account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • Click Logout<\/strong> to disconnect the plugin from Google Analytics if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

                2. Select Account<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                Use the Account<\/strong> dropdown to choose the Google Analytics account you wish to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                • Once selected, the plugin will load the properties associated with that account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

                  3. Select Property<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                  Choose the GA4 property from the dropdown menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  • After selecting a property, all linked measurement IDs (data streams) will become available for selection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

                    4. Select Data Stream (Measurement ID)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                    Choose the specific Data Stream<\/strong> you want to track from the available list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    • This ensures accurate and relevant data collection for your chosen property\/site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

                      5. Exclude Tracking For<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                      This option allows you to exclude specific user roles<\/strong> (e.g., Administrator, Editor) from being tracked in Analytics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          2. E-Commerce Events<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                          • View Product<\/strong>: Triggered when a user views a single product page. Helps determine product popularity and interest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • View Category<\/strong>: Triggered when a user views a category archive. Useful for identifying popular product groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • Add to Cart<\/strong>: Triggered when an item is added to the cart. Helps analyze buyer intent and optimize upsell strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • Initiate Checkout<\/strong>: Triggered when a customer starts the checkout process. Useful for identifying abandonment points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
